4 clients share their most poignant aspects of wearing a hairpiece:
Alex: I used to have extremely greasy hair, even though I washed it daily! When I came in for my consultation, I was told that I would no longer need to do that, as my piece would 'soak' up the extra oil on my scalp, and leave it feeling dryer. Being very skeptical by nature, I said 'sure', but didn't believe a word of that. I was also very concerned about how much more time this extra (although amazing!) new hair would add to my routine.
So imagine my disbelief when I discovered that my daily shampoos decreased to twice a week, and then eventually once a week. I was floored, and so happy. I actually gained time in the mornings, and the extra ten minutes it took me to blow dry my hair when I did shampoo? Well, who could complain!
Emily: When people compliment me on how great my hair looks, I look them straight in the eye and say 'Thank you!'. After all, it's bought and paid for by moi.
Ana: Most of friends and family are still not aware that I wear a hair piece and I'm happy to keep it that way. In fact, when I first had my hair piece installed, it looked so natural, that when I met my mom for lunch, she didn't even notice! She asked me whether I'd changed my hair colour. I told her of course, and now she has a piece as well. Perfect.
Nicole: I went through an extremely stressful episode in my life which resulted in hair loss in my crown, about the size of my palm. I didn't need a full hairpiece, and opted for a 6" by 6" lace piece that looked fully natural. I wore it for approximately 2 years, the period of time it took for my natural hair to grow back. I had it removed at that point as I no longer had need for it, but it was the best decision I made to have one fitted, and I would do it again without hesitation.
