Your consultation will be conducted by a hair loss specialist.

This is emotional for me, and I have had bad experiences, what makes your clinic different?
Hair loss isn't an easy thing to deal with, let alone talk about. We have been around for over 20 years, specializing in toppers, toupees, hairpieces and hair extensions, so we've seen all different kinds of hair loss and are empathetic toward the sensitivities that this may cause. We're here to offer an ear for your experience, in a private, comfortable setting.

What do I get to see in the consultation?
In a consultation, we will run through an entire visual presentation of the process, provide samples of different colours, textures and sizes of different kinds of hair systems that are available.

Is this surgical procedure?
All of our services are non-surgical.

Do you have a philosophy on wellness?
Absolutely! We have a holistic approach in the sense that we believe that hairpiece systems are an excellent solution for hair loss, but a lot of the process needs to come within. It's important to feel comfortable with the change you're about to make. It won't always be easy, but it's important to have a good support system at home that will help guide you through if need be. Keeping along with the holistic philosophy, we do not use any chemicals, toxins, sulphates or parabens for hair loss fittings at all.

How long does the process take?
From the end of your consultation, we can have you in for a brand new hair system within one to three weeks. At your first appointment, an installation or fitting takes roughly two to three hours. 

I'm afraid of needles, do you use needles for anything?
Pacific does not use any injection needles for any processes.

Are clips involved?
Clips are only utilized if the wearer decides that they would like to wear their piece a couple times a week. If you are thinking you would like to wear your hairpiece system every day, it's probably best to have it installed semi-permanently.

I want to dye my hairpiece, can you do that?
Absolutely. At your consultation, we will decide what the initial colour of your piece will be. We can create a custom coloured piece from either a photograph or a swatch. If down the road, you decide that you would like to colour your piece, we can do that as well.

Can I heat style my piece?
Our hair piece systems are all made from 100% Remy human hair, so you are able to curl, flat iron and wash your piece as you would your own hair.

Can I wear hats and helmets?
You can absolutely wear hats and helmets with your hairpiece system, but we advise against prolonged usage, as that can cause shedding, due to the friction against the hairpiece.

I’ve had Trichotillomania for many years—will my hair grow back?
It's important to still seek wellness treatment in addition to a hair system for the best results. Every case is different, but with our trich clients, we've found that the semi-permanent systems tend to prevent them from pulling underneath, allowing for more hair growth.

How many trichotillomania clients do you have?
Currently over four dozen and counting!

How long will a hairpiece system last me?
The longevity of a hairpiece system depends on the initial colour of the piece, how often you heat style your piece and overall care. Toward the end of the life of your piece, you will note that it has become thinner as it has shed naturally over time.

What makes Pacific's hair pieces special?
Pacific offers the highest quality wigs, hairpieces and hair extensions in Vancouver, B.C. All of our hair is virgin when we receive it, meaning it's never been chemically processed, either in terms of colour, texture or silicone coating. This gives us an opportunity to customize it to your specifications. Due to this in house customization, your wait time is only two to three weeks for your product, as opposed to two or three months. Also, if you need any kind of modifications to your order, we are able to modify in-house, as opposed to sending it away to a third party.

I don’t live in Vancouver, can you send me the piece so that I can have it installed in my city?
Absolutely! We can ship you a piece that is colour, texture, size and length matched to your exact specifications. If you are unable to find someone within your area who is able to conduct this service, we will do the research for you!
