Chemotherapy hair loss is something that occurs 10 to 21 days after treatment begins. The hair loss isn't attributed just to radiation, but also medications that are made to fight growing cancer cells. Due to the strength of the radiation and the medication, it is also common that they will attack the hair cells in the patient's entire body.
The result of this varies all across the board, from some hair loss, to extreme thinning to complete hair loss. Most of the time, chemotherapy hair loss is temporary and the patient can expect their hair to grow back within three to ten months of treatment. Keep in mind that during this time of regrowth, the hair can come back in a different color and/or texture.
As this sudden loss of hair can be quite a shock to many patients, time and care should be taken to select a hair loss solution that looks natural, is comfortable, and easy to style.
Synthetic wigs are an excellent solution for those who prefer to not have to style their hair daily and/or are looking for a transition into human hair wigs. All synthetic wigs come in stock, but there are thousands of different styles, colors, lengths and textures to choose from. For synthetic wigs, you cannot heat style, color them or change the part but you need not style them each day.
Human hair wigs can be ordered in stock. There are many different textures, colors and lengths to choose from with remy human hair. All the while, working with remy human hair allows you to change the color, texture and length at anytime though you do have to maintain its style more often than a synthetic option.
